Claude Code v2.1.198 Introduces New Built-in Skill: /dataviz
Claude Code v2.1.198 has introduced a new built-in skill for data visualization, simplifying the creation of charts and dashboards.
It loads context-specific recommendations for designing charts and dashboards: choosing chart types, layout rules, and visual hierarchy for data-heavy interfaces.
It also includes an executable color palette validator, allowing Claude to programmatically check contrast and compliance with accessibility requirements, rather than making assumptions.
No installation is required - the skill is already included in the CLI. If you need to quickly visualize data in HTML and achieve quality results on the first attempt, this skill should be explicitly invoked. In the second demo, it generates a dashboard based on download statistics from http://aitmpl.com. 🐸
Why it matters
AnalysisThis new skill significantly streamlines the data visualization process, equipping users with tools to create high-quality charts and dashboards without additional setup.
