In the Future, There Will Be No Product Managers, Engineers, or Designers: Claude Code Creator Boris Chornyi Discusses Five Archetypes
Boris Chornyi, creator of Claude Code, introduced a concept of five archetypes that will replace traditional roles in the tech industry.
Prototyper: a generator of numerous ideas, only some of which will be realized.
Builder: quickly transforms prototypes and ideas into products.
Sweeper: cleans up UX, simplifies code, optimizes systems.
Grower: takes a product and iteratively improves it in terms of Product-Market Fit.
Maintainer: owns a mature system and monitors its security, reliability, and efficiency.
These archetypes will not depend on the domain or specific stack, unlike most modern roles, and one person can embody up to three statuses.
In this new system, there is no place for HRs 🤷♂️.
Why it matters
AnalysisThis concept could fundamentally change approaches to product management and development in the tech industry, reducing reliance on traditional roles.
